New England Traditional

a traditional foyer table sits against a white wall with two candle sconces on either side and a traditional painting above. There are two white book shelves full of books and decorations on either side. The rug on the floor is ivory and traditional. There is one wooden chair on the left with a small pillow.

This is your New England refuge; a place of historical, old world charm. This is where value and tradition matter - where permanence is prominent and the disposable and replaceable is, well, rubbish.

There is a certain familiarity about the rooms and this is reflected in your choice of decor, but you can’t quite place why you immediately feel right at home. Is it the array of old family photos meticulously placed on an antique side table, the curio cabinet brimming with whimsical figurines lovingly displayed, or the New England Traditional inspired area rugs throughout?

You are content to know that the hardwoods and heirlooms before you have had a life and happily more stories to tell!  But it’s your gratitude for the gracefully aging decor that truly defines your New England roots; a reminder of the time when receiving “hand-me-downs” was a sacred and cherished thing.
